ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES

‘Teaching is an art and we do it joyfully.’

The goal of academic education is to groom students into citizens who are confident, responsible, sensitive, eco-friendly and also to inculcate the national spirit among the new generation.

LANGUAGE – English is the medium of instruction. The school lays equal stress for the teaching of Hindi and Sanskrit.

PRE-PRIMARY:
PLAYGROUP,
LKG & UKG

Scholars’ Home, as the name suggests serves as a ‘Home away from home’ for the little ones who are going through their formative years of life. The play-way method of ‘Learning by Doing’ is adopted at the pre-primary level. The children are given an ideal learning atmosphere where they are allowed to learn at their own pace.

The emphasis is on developing in students, self- confidence and the ability to effectively communicate in English by encouraging children to create their own ideas and   express themselves freely. Teachers make good use of teaching aids like Flash Cards, Picture Charts, Blocks, Puzzles, Finger and Hand puppets, Worksheets, Beads etc. to make learning process easier, playful and interesting.

Children are encouraged to explore, discover and learn through songs, recitation, phonics program, creative projects, story-telling, role-playing, dance, music, art and craft, games, drawing and painting. Picnics and field trips help enhance students' understanding of their surroundings. The curriculum prepares children for a smooth transition to a more formal Primary curriculum.

Classroom teaching is supplemented with various science and literary activities and competitions which gives the students the opportunity to reveal, express and learn about life. The burden of books is kept to the minimum and the learning process of the students is made easier through classroom demonstrations of practical aspects, experiments, group discussions, excursions etc.
